Being raised on a farm, I have always been a “caregiver”. Taking care of my childhood pets and farm animals led me to a career in nursing. After 31 years in nursing, I decided to channel my talents and compassion in another direction.

My husband, Bobby, and I researched and visited other pet memorials in Indiana and Wichita, Kansas and decided to open Heavenly Pet Memorials here in Topeka. There have been no options readily available for families to have a dignified and meaningful service for a lost pet family member.

We wanted to be able to provide our own pets, Diamond, Ice and Phoebe, a proper memorialization and celebration when their lives came to an end. We therefore made a commitment to provide that type of service with a facility created to the memory of pets.
